"In Christ you also heard the message of truth and thr gospel of your salvation, and you came to believe in him. In him, you were marked with the seal of the
Holy Spirit who had been promised." - Ephesians 1:13
"It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For 'by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." CCC 1285
Confirmation is Scheduled for April 4, 2025, at 7 p.m.
at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church
Students preparing for Confirmation will engage in the YDisciple program titled "Never Alone: Life in the Holy Spirit," as endorsed by the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.
"Presented by Sarah Kaczmarek & Nic Gutierrez, [Never Alone] explores the truth that every Catholic Christian is invited into a living relationship with the Holy Spirit. It is in living life with the Holy Spirit that we find answers to some of teens’ deepest longings: Who am I? Where do I belong? How do I know what to do with my life? Is this all there is?
Combining personal testimony with catechesis, [Never Alone] was created to bring about this sort of fruitful discussion with students who are preparing to be confirmed as well as those whose Confirmation has already come and gone. As with all YDisciple series, it is designed specifically with small groups in mind."
